What to check before you bring a pet home
- The real pet. Photos are a start, but nothing replaces seeing the animal’s eyes, coat, breathing and energy in person.
- Vaccination and deworming records. Ask for dates, and ask what is due next.
- Where it has been living. Clean housing, fresh water and calm handling tell you a lot.
- No advance payment. Never send money for a pet you have not met.

Engage in familiar routines. Whether waking up early, waiting for dinner time, or hanging out in the courtyard: there are daily activities that mark the flow of your pet’s day. Try to match those habits as closely as you can so your companion understands that their home is safe and welcoming.
We show care to our pets on a daily basis, and keeping up gentle attention helps fight any restlessness your pet may be feeling while giving them positive associations with their space. Being able to focus on a favourite chew or interactive game will calm their nerves and keep them happy.
